This site is intended primarily to be an introduction to the Renaissance in Italy for students and lovers of art and history alike. Highlighted here are many of the major works of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, including information and analysis of these great works of art and architecture. As the site expands, works by lesser-known artists and architects will potentially be added so that this site becomes increasingly comprehensive. Much of the information contained here comes from secondary sources, but some of the insights are also the academic conclusions of the web site author.
